Walt's World has facilitated 100 community cat TNR spay & neuters since July 2025!

Did you know that 1 spay/neuter of a community cat can prevent over 370,000 kittens in seven years?

An unneutered male cat is more likely to be returned or surrendered to a shelter due to strong reproductive instincts that lead to behavior issues:  Roaming, Aggression, and spraying to mark territory.

A neutered male cat makes a much happier & healthier life-time companion.

Spaying female cats prevents uterine infections and uterine/mammary cancer, reduces the risk of mammary tumors by up to 90% when done before the first heat, and prevents more litters.

A healthy and happy female cat is more likely to be a forever friend, and not be surrendered to the shelter.

Our Outdoor Dog House Loaner program is available to families in need with pets that are waiting to be rehomed or kept outdoors.

These temporary homes keep pets warm & safe from the elements.

A neutered male dog is less likely to roam away from home, may be better behaved *not mark his territory in the home, and reduces aggression problems.

A well behaved dog & one less likely to escape a yard or home will increase their odds of staying out of the shelter.

A spayed female dog will live a longer, healthier life. Spaying prevents uterine infections, decreases breast tumors, and keeps females from going into heat multiple times a year...less yowling and inappropriate urinating all over the house!

Heartworms, Fleas, and Ticks can wreak havoc on pets, leading to suffering and expensive vet bills. Many families cannot afford monthly prevention, forcing pets to suffer or be surrendered.  

Our clinic provides these meds to keep pets healthy and in their homes.

Lost but Microchipped pets are returned at a 52.2% rate versus 21.9% for those without microchips.  All of our clinic pets are microchipped to prevent shelter overcrowding and keep pets and their families together.

We also provide annual vaccines to prevent the spread of deadly diseases. 

Many pet owners struggle to afford pet food due to rising costs. Low-income households are most affected, with 45%–46% reporting significant challenges. 

​

Many pet owners will skip their own meals to feed their pets.  

Walt's World believes that no one- human or pet- should go hungry.

We offer a free pet food & plant-based human food pantry for our community members in need.

Each month we offer a low-cost clinic day starting at just $60 for a complete exam, including access to our free pantry & pet supplies.

By sponsoring the cost to run the clinic for the day, we can offer these appointments for No-Cost to families in need!
